TheMind - We have posted the below on 17 March 2009 and Dr.Selva have
updated the first batch for his initiative on coming April 2009 is
fully taken. Looking at the tremendous support he is encouraged to
plan for his 2nd batch estimated to start their sailing course on May
2009.Must be keen to attend regularly and finish the course which will
end in December. If you miss the classes you will not be able to get
the official qualifying certificate. This certificate class consists
of half day theory and half day practical. Please send full details
(age/ name /sex of applicants and the parents’ full details).He will
be able to sponsor 10 students. Lunch and refreshment will be provided
for candidates only. Selected applicants must be able to attend for a
personal interview to finalize details at the yacht club around April
17th 2009.
Dr.Selva is from the Port Klang Yacht club. He find there is lack of
interest in hobbies by Indian youths, thus he came up with a gesture
to sponsor 4-6 Indian youth (Boys/Girls) a sailing course at the club.
Ages of 8-16 for a weekly course at Port Klang Yacht club. course is
to begin in April, classes 9am-4pm at the club every Saturday until
November. By the end of the course (theory and practical) they will be
able to sail a small boat by themselves. Preferably they must know how
to swim or not afraid of water. Course is conducted by experts and
safety instructors will be there. Lunch and refreshments are taken
care of at the club.
