Good news for SPM leavers! Education is now more affordable than anyone can imagine. What more with the abundant of loan opportunities readily available for well-deserving students. Earlier I had written about this interesting programme, which has a very high demand of job scope and the reality of insufficient manpower to contribute to this sector. Now I would like to shed more light for the readers of this blog regarding the explicit details of the course and so on.
Environmental Health
First of all it is important to know what the course is all about. Environmental Health is the scope of studies that refer to our living environment and what constitutes health hazards. Society often pays a heavy price for progress and development resulting in environmental degradation and destruction, the consequences of which can be alarming.
At Victoria International College, the Diploma in Environmental Health Studies is designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical experience to identify, prevent and control environmental issues such as water, noise and air pollution, toxic and waste substances, and quality drinking water, with the objective of a safe and healthy living.

Career in Environmental Health
Students graduating in Environmental Health courses have a wide range of career opportunities to choose from such as Environmental Health Officer (EHO's), Environment protection officers (EPO's), Health and Safety sectors, Housing Associations and Environmental Consultancies. Graduate who complete the programme in Victoria International College are recognised in the government and private sectors.
Entry Requirements
SPM with minimum 3 credits and pass in Bahasa Malaysia
Pass O-level
Loan
PTPTN maximum loan of RM 60, 000 per course is available. PTPTN sanctions RM10, 000 per semester. Students who apply for the loan will be required to liase with the college and the management has special PTPTN loan officers to aid and guide students for the application. Parents will be required to be the guarantor and a fee of RM20 is necessaru to open up a PTPL account. The approved loan amount will be directly transferred to the college and the remaining balance can be used for accommodation fees as well as allowances. Students need only pay RM 300 initially for registration.

First year fee - RM13680
Second year fee - RM13680
Third year fee - RM13640
Total = RM41000 (Each year has 2 semesters)

Computer and Science lab RM100/year
Library - RM100/year
Medical Insurance - RM100/year
Clinical Uniform ( 2 x uniform) @ RM100.00 per pair
Lab Coat @ RM 60.00 per pair
About Victoria International College
Victoria International College is a reputable college with over 30 years of experience in providing quality education and affiliations with several renown universities. The college has produced graduates who are well sought after in the corporate and government sectors. The main HQ is in the heart of KL. Whereas the new campus is located on a 42-acre site at BAndar TAsik Puteri, Rawang, which is a modern integrated township with amenities, and just 20 mins drive from Kuala Lumpur. The new college campus is a technologically advanced institution of higher learning, incorporating the latest state-of-the art systems and teaching facilities. Registration
Registration for the above mentioned course is open now for April/09 intake. Students have already enrolled for the course and it is currently ongoing but classes will officially start in April. Since it is a government funded course, there are limited seats available. Students who are keen to enroll for this course are advised to act on it fast as PTPTN only processes loan applications twice a year.
